Below you'll find key dates for the fresher fall of 2026. In addition, you'll find information about future events in TKO-äly's TKO-älyn event calendar. The university guide for the orientation week can be found here.

In addition to the events below, we will organize events for all of our members, unofficial gatherings and events for your own tutor group.

We might have to change these dates and schedule. Follow our announcements on the fresher channel (invitation link was part of fresherletter), keep an eye on the event calendar and this page as we get closer to orientation week. The events that are organized mostly for the freshers are not added to the event calendar.

August
Sat 22.8.		Fresher year's head start The yearly held head start for freshers in Suomenlinna: Come mingle and hang out with your fellow freshers! TKO-äly holds a communal head off from Kauppatori's eastern side at 15 o'clock (check the detail's at either TKO-äly's fresher chat or common TG channel!) TKO-äly offers event attendees a bit of snacks and drinks. If you wish to, feel free to take some of your own drinks and snacks on top of those. We'll head of to Suomenlinna by ferry, and you'll need a HSL-ticket that's viable in the A-zone.
Orienting week	The degree's programme for the orienting week can be found here. The site will be updated to include the links to online events.
	Mon 24.8.	Board game night at 17:00-23:00, Valopiha (In front of Gurula, DK115) Playing board games and hanging out in Exactum! There's also a chance to get acquainted wit the new curriculum in campus at 15-16, the place will be informed later on

		Park olympics from 16 onwards at Arabianranta Tutors hold the checkpoints and fresher groups compete against each other.
	Wed 26.8.	Campus tour held by your tutors at a time told by them
		Sisu workshop at 12:00-16:00, in Exactum B221 "yläpaja" and BK107 "alapaja" tutors help out with Sisu
		Freshersauna at 17.00 Let's Sauna! from 17 o'clock at Bölen sauna, Fredriksberginkatu 2, Helsinki Sauna turns start at 18 o'clock Bring along a swimsuit and a towel!
	Thu 27.8.	Orienting day IV Tietokone työvälineenä luento klo 10-12 Linux/laptop workshop for those who wish to attend at 13-15, Physicum D204
		Student organization market at 12-15 Mahdollisuus tutustua ainejärjestöihin ja ostaa haalarimerkkejä Physicumin aulassa. Varaa käteistä mukaan!
		Puistohengailu klo 17.00 Iltapäivää vietetään puistossa grillaillen Kumtähden kentällä! Paikka ilmoitetaan myöhemmin
	pe 28.8.	Orientoiva päivä V Toisten tieteenalojen info, Limes ry, klo 12.00–14.00, Exactum A111
		KJYFS klo 17.00 Koko Kumpulan fuksifestarit. Bileet! Tapahtumapaikkana kampuksen lähistöllä sijaitseva Kolmiopuisto Tapahtuma-alueella kumpulan opiskelija- sekä harrastejärjestöjen rasteja/pisteitä. Mukaan kannattaa ottaa viltti, omat juomat/eväät, sekä lämpimät vaatteet. TKO-älyn rastilla voit myös ostaa haalarimerkkejä.
