• Tekis = TKO-äly, our subject organisation
• aktiivi = a person who actively takes part in the student organisation
• halko = a board meeting, typically that of your own subject organisation
• HYY = Student Union of the University of Helsinki
• HYAL = HYAL ry., subject organization members of the University of Helsinki, an organization for subject organization actives
• sitsit = an academic dinner party. Dress up fancy (usually) and eat fancy (sometimes). Sing a lot.
• vujut = an academic annual ball. The highlight of the year for the student organisation. Fancier than a sitsit.
• excu = an excursion, getting to know e.g. a company that hires a lot of computer scientists, or an excursion to a movie theatre, museum or Fazer
• RV = the snack kiosk at Gurula
  • depositata = add money to your user for the snack kiosk
• Readme/redari = TKO-äly's own magazine, published around four times a year

In Kumpula

• Exactum = your new home. Exactum hosts mathematicians, data scientists, statistics students and seismologists in addition to computer scientists. Also has a Unicafe (a university restaurant)
• Physicum = the building next to Exactum hosting physicists, geography students and geologists. You can access the library through Physicum and the Unicafe in Physicum serves sandwiches and panini
• Chemicum = Chemicum hosts chemists (what a surprise). They have the biggest Unicafe in Kumpula with better opening hours
• Integraalipolku = A steep path that takes you from Exactum to the bus and tram stops called Kumpulan kampus. Use at your own risk.
• Kartano = the Kumpula manor on Jyrängöntie, in the botanical garden area
• A.I. Virtasen aukio = The square in front of Chemicum. There is a barbecue there on Vappu.
• VAK = Väinö Auerin katu, especially the HOAS buildings near Kumpula campus
• PKK = Pietari Kalmin katu, especially the HOAS building

In Exactum

• Gurula = the computer science students' student room on Exactum's basement floor (room DK115)
• Navetta = computer lab attached to Gurula (DK110)
• Haxxo = 24h group study lab next to Navetta (DK108)
• Luola = 24h computer lab at the end of the corridor, next to Haxxo (DK107)
• Komero = the mathematicians' student room on the 3rd floor of Exactum (C338)
• Limeksen Toimisto = The student room of the interdisciplinary student organization Limes ry. It is located on the first floor of Exactum, when you go up the stairs from Gurula, a little to the right and then forward. The office is the first room in the hallway on the right. (C132)
• Hideout = the student room of Integralis, the student organization for all international students at Kumpula campus and the main student organisation for the Bachelor's Programme in Science students. Found on the same corridor as Limes’ Toimisto, the second room on the right.
• Kafferummet = Spektrum rfs, The Swedish-speaking student association student room at matlu. The room is located at the far back on the right in the same corridor as the Limes Office.

• Leppis / Ilotalo = Leppätalo, Domus Gaudium, the third student house. Next to Domus Academica in Etu-Töölö
• Sivistys / Kattosauna = Penthouse sauna of Leppätalo

Old Organizational premises

• Uusi = Uusi Ylioppilastalo (lit. "New Student House"), Mannerheimintie 5, next to Vanha Ylioppilastalo
• Vanha = Vanha Ylioppilastalo (lit. "Old Student House"), Mannerheimintie 3, netx to Uusi Ylioppilastalo
• Alina / Alina-sali = a popular hall at Uusi Ylioppilastalo (Mannerheimintie 5 A, 3rd floor)
• Alasauna / Niiniluoto = a defunct sauna that resided in Uusi's basement
• Klusteri / Kertsi / Klurre / Klusse = Christina Regina, Matlu ry's club room(s) at Leppäsuonkatu 11. Also in TKO-äly use, but requires a keyholder to enter RIP Klusteri 2008-2026⚰️🕊️🪦
• Domma = Domus Academica, a student housing complex of the HYY
