Mä oon Matias, yksi teidän kolmesta fuksi- ja tuutorivastaavasta ja aloitan nyt syksyllä kolmannen vuoden opinnot. Oon Viljami yksi teidän fuksi- ja tuutorivastaavista. Nyt alkaa 4. vuosi opintoja ja joo noh; pitäs vissiin alkaa opiskeleenkin taas välillä. Mulle tärkeitä arvoja on moninaisuus ja yhdenvertaisuus. Virheitä saa ja pitää tehdä oppiakseen. Tärkeintä on oikea suunta ja kehittyminen.


Onnea opiskelupaikan saamisesta ja varsinkin loistavasta valinnasta. Meidän ohjelma ja yhteisöhän on ihan paras ja mukaan mahtuu tosi kirjavaa porukkaa. Jokainen varmasti saa olla oma itsensä ilman pelkoa, että joku tuomitsisi.


Oli pulma mikä tahansa, niin tosi mielellään autan. Ei ole tyhmiä kysymyksiä. Muistan vielä miten kahvilla olin aloittaessani ja miten paljon sain apua kysymällä ja myös siitä että muut uskalsi kysellä. Toimin tänä vuonna myös meidän jäsenvastaavana, joten erittäin mielelläni jeesin kaikessa jäsenyyteen liittyvässä. Kannataa muuten ehdottomasti liittyä (https://members.tko-aly.fi/users/add) .

Moikka! Onnittelut opiskelupaikasta ja tervetuloa Tekikselle!


Mä olen Aapo, viime syksyn fuksi. Aloitin opinnot viime vuonna yhden välivuoden jälkeen ja vietin ikimuistoisen fuksisyksyn - toivottavasti sulla tulee olemaan yhtä kivaa! Minut löytää useimmiten opiskelijahuoneemme Gurulan pöydän äärestä tekemässä tehtäviä (tai prokrastinoimassa niiden suhteen :D). Minua näkee myös monissa Tekiksen tapahtumissa holittomana, eli jos kaipaat vähemmän dokattua seuraa etsi minut käsiisi :)


Tekiksellä olen nopeasti juurtunut aktiiviksi ja olenkin nakkeutunut useaan eri virkaan. Meiltä löytyy valtavasti erilaisia virkoja, joista moni ei vaadi kauheasti aikaa tai vaivaa. Jos ainejärjestötoiminta tai vaikka tapahtuman järjestäminen kiinnostaa, tule ihmeessä kyselemään!


Olen myös hallituksen jäsen, eli minua voi vetää hihasta jos haluat ostaa vaikkapa merkkejä tai haalarit (tai haluat edesauttaa prokrastinointiani Mario Kartin pelaamisen muodossa). Ylipäänsä jos sinulle tulee jotain kysyttävää nii saa tulla puhumaan livenä tai Telegramissa :)

Olen Joonatan, toisen vuoden tietojenkäsittelytieteen opiskelija. Vielä kaksivuotta sitten viihdyin lukiossa paljolti omissa oloissa, mutta yliopistolla opiskelija elämä veti nopeasti mukaan moneen tapahtumaan, ja ensimäisestä vuodesta muodostuikin ehkä elämäni paras. Toivon, että sinullakin on edessä ainutlaatuinen vuosi.


Viime vuonna minut löysi parhaiten Gurulan pöydältä tai punaiselta sohvalta tuijottamasta koodia ja matikkaa. Jos minut siellä tänäkin vuonna havaitsee, niin saa tulla matalalla kynnyksellä auttamaan tehtävien välttelyssä kysymällä jotain tai ihan keskustelemalla. Kuulen mielelläni uusista mielenkiinnonkohteista!


Vapaa-ajalla työstän omia projektejani kaaottisesti eteenpäin tai vasemmalle. Nykyisestä projektista saa kuulla liisä, kysymällä, mutta todennäköisesti projekti on jotain virtuaalista, vuorovaikutteista ja visuaalista.

Morjesta pöytään! Onnittelut siitä, että pääsit Suomen PARHAAN* (*ei lähdettä, oma kokemus) yliopiston PARHAAN** (**ei lähdettä, oma kokemus) opintosuuntauksen opiskelijaksi!


Mä oon Dasuki ja oon nyt toista vuotta opiskelemassa tietojenkäsittelytiedettä. Lähdin itse opintoihin suoraan lukion jälkeen. Ohjelmointi on ollut pitkään jo intohimoni, ja se sai minut lähtemään tähän suuntaan. Eka vuos Tekiksellä meni tosi nopeesti, kiitos kaikkien kivojen tapahtumien ja kekkereiden. Kannattaa siis ilman muuta lähteä mukaan tapahtumiin!


Teen opintojen ohella (tai opintojen sijaan ":D") töitä webdevin, tekoälytutkimuksen sekä IT-tuen parissa, ja vapaa-ajastakin suuri osa menee kaikenlaiseen tietokonetunkkaukseen. Tietokonehommien lisäksi vapaa-ajalla tykkään pelailla lauta- ja videopelejä, ja olenkin juuri aloittanut kasaamaan omaa lautapelikokoelmaani. Omasta kokoelmasta lempparit on tällä hetkellä ''Munchkin Cthulhu'', ''The Tea Dragon Society'', ''Port Royal'', ''Wyrmspan'' sekä ''Here to Slay''. Lempi videopelejä (jota pelaan aktiivisesti) on ''Smash Bros. Ultimate'', ''Pokémon (koko sarja)'' ja ''Vampire Crawlers''.


TKO-älyllä olen Sitsivastaava ja Lanivastaava. Järjestän siis sitsejä ja lanitapahtumia. Yhdessä Lanitiimin kanssa järkkäämme joka maanantai viikottaisia ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'' turnauksia, joten tulkaahan rohkeasti mukaan pelailemaan. Onnittelut vielä kerran opiskelupaikasta ja tavataan syssymmällä!

Hellou!


Aloitan nyt syksyllä 2026 toisen vuoteni tietojenkäsittelytieteen kandiohjelmassa. Ensimmäinen vuosi meni pelottavankin nopeasti enimmäkseen tapahtumien (voin vahvasti suositella, sitsit omia lemppareita) ja matematiikan kurssien kanssa (pliis oppikaa mun virheistä). Kaikenkaikkiaan (jopa matikastakin huolimatta) voin vahvasti suositella yliopistoelämää täällä Tekiksen piireissä (onneksi olkoon teillekin!).


Vapaa-ajalla tykkään mm. pelata erilaisia videopelejä. Suosikkeja on mm. ''Baldur's Gate 3'', ''Stardew Valley'' ja ''Spelunky 2''. Viimeaikoina olen vetänyt läpi ''Expedition 33'' ja ''Cyberpunk 2077'' ja kenties kesällä aloittelen pelaamaan ''Outer Wildsia''. Sen lisäksi minut voi aina silloin tällöin löytää menettämässä järkeni esim. ''Overwatchin'' tai ''shakin'' parissa. Videopelien, yliopiston ja kaverien ulkopuolella tykkään käydä lenkeillä (Selvisin juuri ja juuri Helsinki City Maratonista 2026) ja harjoitella pianon alkeita. Luin myös äskettäin ''Project Hail Maryn'' ja jos jollain on samantyyppisiä kirjasuosituksia, otan niitä mielelläni vastaan.

Hei, onnittelut opiskelupaikasta ja tervetuloa Kumpulan kampukselle käpistelemään!


Mun nimi on Angel, ja mä oon toisen vuoden tietojenkäsittelytieteen opiskelija, TKO-älyn semiaktiivinen jäsen sekä mahdollisesti myös ''sun'' tuutori! Lukion jälkeen päätin lähteä opiskelemaan tätä ainetta, koska mulla oli jonkin verran aiempaa kokemusta ohjelmoinnista ja rakastan tietokoneita sekä niiden toimintaa. Mun oma fuksivuosi alkoi ja loppui silmänräpäyksessä. Olen nauttinut jokaisesta opiskelijatapahtumasta jossa olen ollut ja, vaikka matematiikka on ollut välillä vähän raskasta, olen pitänyt opintojani erittäin mielenkiintoisina ja elämää rikastavina!


Opiskelun lisäksi vapaa-ajallani tykkään pelata videopelejä sekä soittaa musiikkia. Olen soittanut kitaraa lähes koko elämäni, ja musiikki on erittäin lähellä sydäntäni. Tällä hetkellä en ole virkailija missään yliopiston ainejärjestössä taikka muussa tahossa, mutta tänä vuonna saatan mahdollisesti hakea johonkin rooliin (mikäli ylitän pahan tapani vältellä kaikkia vastuullisuuksia...).


Onnea opintoihin ja mulle saa tosiaan tulla puhumaan mistä vaan jos näet mut vaikka tapahtumassa tai

Olen Kaali tai Tiina, ihan kummin totut ensin sanomaan. Jos et muista kumpaakaan, sekin on ok. Minullakin on järkyttävä nimimuisti. Toisen vuoden opinnot ovat alkamassa, mihinköhän se ensimmäinen vuosi jo hurahti?


Vapaa-ajastani suuren osan vie pelaaminen, joissa kestosuosikki pelejä ovat Skyrim ja Cyberpunk 2077, juokseminen, ompelu ja lukeminen. Elokuussa juoksen Turussa puolimaratonin, johon yritän kesän ajan viilata parempaa aikaa (rip kesäopinnot). Ompelu ja kirjonta on minulla aika monipuolista keskiaika larppauksesta omiin vaatteisiin ja Kumpulan Speksiin. Lukeminen painottuu vahvasti fantasiaan, mutta monipuolisesti kyllä muutkin genret menevät. Olen myös auttamaton lukuslumpissa notkuja, eli se on valitettavan vaihtelevaa kuinka paljon luen.


Yliopistolta minut löytää hyvin satunnaisesti, mutta minua saa aina tulla vetämään hihasta tai vaikka vain juttelemaan. Ei ole myöskään omituista nähdä minua myös muilla kampuksilla, mutta kyllä Kumpulan kampus on koti :)

Tutors are responsible for introducing freshers, i.e. new students, to the everyday life and celebration of their studies. Each new student is included in a fresher group guided by a pair of tutors. Feel free to contact your tutors on any issue.

Fresher and tutor coordinators aren't proper tutors but takes care of the flow of information and the organization of fresher events. In addition, the coordinators solve problems that the tutor has not been able to answer, for example. Tutor coordinators are in contact not only with tutors but also with the department. My favorite thing about TKO-äly is how many fun and different activities we have and how many new friends I've made during the last few years. The values that are important to me are diversity and equality. Mistakes can and must be made to learn. The most important thing is the right direction and development.

Good luck getting a place to study, and especially a great choice. Our program and community is the best and we can accommodate some really diverse people. Everyone can be themselves without fear of being judged.

I'm Aapo, one of last year's freshers. I started my studies last fall after a one year break and had an unforgettable fresher fall - I hope yours will be as fun as mine! You will usually find me sitting at the table in our student room Gurula doing schoolwork (or procrastinating :D). You can also find me in many TKO-äly events sober, so if you want less drunk company, look for me :)

At TKO-äly I've quickly become an active and I've got myself into several positions. We have a wide variety of things to do, many of which don't require that much time or effort. If you are interested in student org activity or organizing an event for example, feel free to come talk to me!

Hi!

I'm Aapo, one of last year's freshers. I started my studies last fall after a one year break and had an unforgettable fresher fall - I hope yours will be as fun as mine! You will usually find me sitting at the table in our student room Gurula doing schoolwork (or procrastinating :D). You can also find me in many TKO-äly events sober, so if you want less drunk company, look for me :)

At TKO-äly I've quickly become an active and I've got myself into several positions. We have a wide variety of things to do, many of which don't require that much time or effort. If you are interested in student org activity or organizing an event for example, feel free to come talk to me!

I'm also a member of the board, so if you'd like to buy patches or overalls for example (or help me procrastinate in terms of Mario Kart), come get me! In general, if you have any questions you can come talk to me irl or on Telegram :)
